Ride or Event Navigation
We look forward to meeting you at the Cricket Club in Eynsham for the Oxford Cycling UK AGM on March 27th [ed: this had to be postponed and was rearranged for 26 April by Zoom. The text that follows is relevant only for the original March AGM]. We are really excited to meet face-to-face, have tea and cake after almost two years! Please come a few minutes early or join the ride to the venue (see ride details below).
Last year’s AGM was 7 March 2021. Please click here to see details and in particular the draft minutes which we will ask you to check and approve at the meeting.
If you wish to nominate someone or yourself for the role of Chair or one of the Committee’s officers, please email secretary@oxfordcycling.uk by March 20th or be prepared to share your nomination during the session, as we will be voting the Committee membership for 2022-2023. The roles we have this year are:
Chairperson (Steph stepping down)
Secretary
Treasurer
Rides Secretary
Communications Officer
Promotions Officer* (website) (Richard stepping down)
Welfare Officer
* This role, and many others, has been fulfilled by Richard and for the last few years from Australia. Richard feels he now wants to progressively step down. Anyone interested in supporting the website management, please let us know so we can ensure a solid handover.
Or if you would like to join the Committee as a ‘member without portfolio’ please get in touch in the same way.
Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you then!
Stephanie de Chassy, Chair
If you wish to propose a motion at the meeting please email the details, together with a Proposer and Seconder by March 13th to Sue at secretary@oxfordcycling.uk

Ride report
Unfortunately the AGM in March had to be postponed and was rearranged by zoom for 26 April. The March ride still went ahead with 6 of us setting off from Broad Street. We called in to see John B on the way to see if he had heard the AGM was off, he had, but it was nice to see him anyway. Then we called round to the Cricket club to see if anyone was there waiting for it to open but we didn’t see anyone. Then we made our way to the café I had used a few times as a takeaway during lockdown in the square in Eynsham. After that Julian and I returned to Oxford and James led the remainder of the ride to Witney and around.
