We did this last year and it turned out to be very successful after a cancelled train made us all worried at the start. We start from Bicester Village train station. You can catch the train, ride to the start or drive and park in Bicester Village or Bicester Avenue car parks. Bicester Avenue closes at 4.30. Bicester Park and Ride has free parking up to 24hr (almost 3km ride from the rail station). We will start once the train due in at 9:29am arrives and everyone is ready. There are trains from Oxford Parkway station leaving at 8:48am or 9:19am taking about 10 minutes and costing £3.60 for an off-peak day return. We go out on lovely roads to a nice café in Evenley and a garden centre in Wardington. We caught the 15:50 train back last time although a few decided to ride home from Bicester as it was such a nice day.

The map is an embedded link from Ride with GPS. You can zoom in to see the route in as much detail as you like. For example, you can zoom in (using the + sign) to see exactly where the start is. If you'd like to see the distances, go to the Ride with GPS website by clicking on 'View Full Version' (top left of map).
