We were pleased to see 9 on this away-day ride, and even more pleased to enjoy the lanes of the Berkshire Downs, usually out of reach from Oxford. Enjoyment is not the first word that comes to mind to describe the climb up Blowing Stone Hill, a first for most of us. But having cut our teeth in the Chilterns, we took it in our stride.
