Campsite website (http://www.farpeakcamping.co.uk/camping/index.html)
This site gets full quite quickly on bank holiday weekends, so you are advised to book early, certainly before the end of July. For B&B accommodation, google “b&b near Northleach” or similar.
Plan for Saturday 29th August: starting Broad Street 10am with lunch at the Royal Oak in Burford, where campers can do some food shopping (Huffkins Bakery). There will also be a led ride back to Oxford for those not continuing to Northleach
Sunday only option: Northleach is a 40 minute drive along the A40, so you are welcome to join the Sunday day ride.
Monday option: a led ride from Broad Street to meet the group for lunch at Shilton.

Ride report

On Sunday, four riders drove in from Oxford to join the campers. Yes it rained. No, it didn’t spoil our day in the Cotswolds. But if ever there was a day for full mudguards, this was it. As we made our way along wet country lanes and tracks, we soon realised that most of the “mud” flicked up from our wheels was not mud after all. For lunch, we were fortunate to discover the Lady Jane Tearoom in Winchcombe. With a CTC sticker in their window, they could hardly begrudge entry to our dripping group (but not smelly, thanks to the mudguards). Monday’s rain was more persistent so that no one turned up for the ride out to meet the campers for lunch In Shilton. No one, that is, except for the designated ride leader. At which point, he too threw in the towel.
