New Year’s Day traditional short ride to Bicester for lunch

We wil leave via Marston, but avoiding the University Parks which may well be under water, and then to Islip, past Godwins ice cream parlour and through Wendlebury.

Ride report

Eleven people turned up at the start and, yet again, we all marvelled at the sunny weather which seems to have blessed our rides over the past couple of months. The Penny Black in Bicester has been the venue for our New Years Day for many years, and is likely to continue being so, given the great value for money provided by this no nonsense Wetherspoon establishment. We met there a further 6 members who joined us for lunch. Seventeen for lunch is probably a record.
