Please note: because of poor weather, this ride will take place on Saturday, not Sunday
Ride report
With gales and torrential rain forecast for Sunday, we decided to switch our usual day ride to the Saturday, benefiting from the wonders of communication technology to contact and forewarn our members. The only concession we made to the autumnal weather was to take a slightly shorter route to coffee.
Two of us continued on to Thame for lunch, where we were expecting to meet Jo at the Coffee House. But no sign of her bike. Having arrived in Thame early, she had gone exploring, looking for chocolate. So we ended up having lunch in the Chocolaterie further down the road. On the way home, near Stanton St John, we raced past a group of lady riders and some familiar faces, which turned out to be the ISIS riders, coincidentally taking a similar route home. When the leader stopped to chat, the other riders went ahead and got lost. Serves them right for overtaking the leader.
