Sunday morning ride ride to Yarnton
Sunday, 12 January 2020 - 9:30am
Ride or Event Navigation
A half-day ride for those not away in the Chilterns
A gentle ride to start the year, calling in at Yarnton Nurseries for coffee.
Ride report
Mild weather and the promise of plentiful morning sunshine brought out fourteen riders (a record for an ‘away day’ alternative short ride) this Sunday. Those attending benefited, as well, from the Lees’ ever impressive knowledge of cyclable local by-ways – meaning there was no lack of diversity in the route, which took us via the windy plain of Water Eaton, through Kidlington, into close and narrow tracks between there and Begbroke, the bare winter hedges making shadow grilles across our path. Coffee was had at Yarnton Nurseries.
