Ride report
The ride was listed as “Picnic near Preston Crowmarsh (weather permitting)”. Three riders decided that in this case, weather did not permit and went instead to sit inside and enjoy the warmth of The Riverside Front café, just a few yards up the road. Twenty minutes later, as we were finishing our fish and chips, the rest came shivering in for a hot drink.
Both a delight and an education, Ellen’s route was an extravaganza of obscure lanes and footpaths, which miraculously led us to the picnic spot.
