Sunday ride to Aston

Sunday, 13 September 2020 - 9:30am

Familiar route to Aston for coffee, then back home via Charney Bassett.

Ride report

A sunny but chilly start into the unexpected headwind out to the Pottery, I don’t think we’ve ever seen so many other cyclists on the road. Lovely!
Social distancing in the café was slightly strange – most of us having a table to ourselves and only a few other customers in there having to put us with our slightly raised voices (definitely not shouting!).
Following several repeated missed turns, I finally tamed Gary Garmin who was then happy to guide us home though the beautiful west Oxfordshire countryside. So enjoyable was the ride that most were surprised to be “there already” when rode into Cumnor ready for the revenge trip down the hill.

The map is an embedded link from Ride with GPS. You can zoom in to see the route in as much detail as you like. For example, you can zoom in (using the + sign) to see exactly where the start is.
