Sunday ride to Benson and Checkendon

Sunday, 17 August 2014 - 9:30am

Ride report

Lunch at the Black Horse in Checkendon is always fun. This time the jokes about the toilets (see photo) were unusually creative and we were further entertained by a puncture repair and a mudguard adjustment, both accompanied by a running commentary. The cakes at Dorchester Abbey were, apparently, abundant and delicious. But, having used up 3 inner tubes and now stranded in Wallingford, the author of this report had to call home for a lift and missed the cakes. He is however grateful for the text message assuring him how abundant and delicious the cakes were.
