Sunday ride to Chadlington

Sunday, 18 July 2021 - 9:30am

A ride through the backwaters via Bruern to Chadlington for coffee/brunch at Café de la Post (there are lots of seats on the grassy knoll opposite). Then a more direct route home via Charlbury.

Ride report

Thirteen riders set off from Broad Street collecting a couple on the way, on what was billed as probably the hottest day of the year so far, with a forecast of temperatures soaring to 30 degrees. The weather made for stunning views across the Cotswolds. The heat made for several unscheduled ice-cream and cold drink stops. Jon made the effort to join us briefly before pedalling off to his cricket match. Thanks to Liz for magnificent sweeping.
