Sunday ride to Haddenham (1)
Sunday, 18 October 2020 - 9:30am
Ride or Event Navigation
Most of the hills, including Ashendon(!) are before coffee. A flatter ride back including a stretch of the Phoenix Trail (weather dependent). Overall quite hilly – see top of map for metres of ascent.
Ride report
A practically windless day which meant it was a bit misty and atmospheric, but perfect for cycling if you had enough layers on. A really lovely route which was quite hilly and included half of Brill Hill then Ashendon Hill which was swiftly followed by Winchendon Hill. Coffee was meant to be at Haddenham Garden Centre but riding along the road that I thought it was on, we came across a farm shop and cafe and so we called in and had a nice break there. While we were there, the second group were spotted pulling in to the same place but then going on as they must have realised it wasn’t the right place. So we didn’t overlap at all and were very socially distanced!
