Sunday away-day ride to Moreton in Marsh and Kineton
Sunday, 13 May 2018 - 10:00am
Ride or Event Navigation
The route starts 10am at the Old Market Way car park (free) in Moreton in Marsh or the Station car park (£2.50) if Market Way is full. It’s one of our hillier rides, with 1378 m of ascent.
Ride report
Definitely worth the effort, driving out to start in the heart of the Cotswolds. We were able to offer 4 lifts and 2 more came by train, conveniently arriving in Moreton-in-Marsh at 9:54. Beautiful day, beautiful views, a 15 minute pause to rescue riders who went ahead off route, followed by a dramatic ford crossing (see photo). Only 1 steep climb (14%) but several long drags of 8% which we are not used to the Oxford area, but which are followed by fabulous equally long descents.
