Twenty at coffee is as many as we could have hoped for and the perfectly manageable (on 28mm tyres) tracks of Sustrans route 5 were new to many of us. Looking back, it was quite fun stepping aside into the nettles and brambles to let the horses through (see photo). Such a memorable route is perhaps to be expected from a leader who has ridden the entire length of every road on Landranger 164!
