Sunday ride to Nettlebed (group 2)
Sunday, 2 May 2021 - 10:00am
Only book this ride if the group 1 ride is full
Scenic route mostly along quiet back roads into the Chilterns with some hills between Watlington and Ewelme.
The map is an embedded link from Ride with GPS. You can zoom in to see the route in as much detail as you like. For example, you can zoom in (using the + sign) to see exactly where the start is. If you’d like to see the distances, go to the Ride with GPS website by clicking on “View Full Version” (top left of map).
The route was beautiful and new or newish to some of us, so it was nice to re-explore this part of Oxfordshire – steep three hills but also rewarding down hills and the coffee stop was really nice, with cheese toasties and miniature banana bread (with chocolate on top) welcome as we reached it after noon. We met the first group who had just been served and it was nice to chat and hang out with them in the sun for a while, until it became chilly and we quickly finished refreshments, added layers and carried on. Thanks to Liz for this excellent (yet again!) route.
