Sunday ride to Nuneham Courtenay and Frilford Heath

Sunday, 14 January 2018 - 9:30am

A short winter ride to keep you ticking over in the middle of winter. Some early hills to work up an appetite for coffee, followed by a flat and easy ride to lunch. A short run over Boars Hill brings us back to Oxford, with the steepest climb of the day coming in the final few kilometres.

Ride report

Notcutts Garden Centre is a welcoming venue for coffee, so welcoming that we had to beg to be allowed out via the automatic doors! As this was a short ride, 10 of the 14 decided to continue on to lunch. We were promised an easy ride, but it still hurts if you ride up Old Boar’s Hill as fast as you can – no one to blame but yourself!
