Sunday ride to Thame and Cuxham

Sunday, 11 February 2018 - 9:30am

As most of the hills are before lunch we can reward ourselves with lunch at the Half Moon in Cuxham with their wonderful home made pizzas, salads and gluten free options

Ride report

Did the coffee riders have the better of the day? We half-day riders were just 10 minutes from home, when the blue skies suddenly turned black and the heavens released hail stones horizontally into our faces, driven by a 16mph westerly. Which posed a dilemma: speed up for the final kilometres at the risk of even more painful needles to the face, or slow right down and spend more time under the hail storm? And a reminder that a cyclist’s sunglasses are not just protection against the sun…
