Sunday ride to Thame and Long Crendon

Sunday, 24 September 2017 - 9:30am

A joint ride with Isis (Rides for Women) to coffee in Thame. This is followed by a flat ride along the Phoenix Trail with some hills afterwards on the way to lunch. After lunch we can assess the County Council’s repair standards on the newly reopened road after Horton Cum Studley, as we make our way back to Oxford.

Ride report

The full-day ride turned out to be 3 times as popular as the half-day coffee ride – and this despite 5 of our regular full-day riders being otherwise occupied. As we enjoyed the sunshine in the garden at the Eight Bells, the cool breeze had us wondering whether this might be one of the last truly summer rides.
