Sunday ride to Waterperry and Cherwell Valley Services

Sunday, 1 April 2018 - 9:30am

A modest run to coffee tackling the worst hills of the day, followed by a gently rolling ride to lunch. Our proximity to the village of Hinton-in-the-Hedges will remind us to look for that hole in the hedge which will lead us to lunch at Cherwell Valley services, where an unusually wide variety of lunch options awaits.

Ride report

A good attendance for Easter Sunday, with 11 continuing on to lunch (via the hole in the hedge). There has been idle speculation that the “hole in the hedge” was nothing more than cheap click bait. But the scandalmongers have at last been confounded – see photo of said hedge as Oxford City cyclists emerge from lunch at the Cherwell Valley motorway services.
