Sunday ride to Waterperry and Ickford
Sunday, 24 November 2019 - 9:30am
Ride or Event Navigation
Please book lunch before 6pm Friday
Not our usual route to Waterperry. A bit longer but scenic. The biggest hills are between coffee and lunch.
Ride report
A dull day, but a good one for cycling with little wind and no rain to speak of. There was a large turnout for coffee (22) with 14 riding on to lunch. There was heavy rain the night before which meant that the planned trip via the Uni Parks was not risked but apart from that and some large puddles on the roads we kept to the route easily enough. We saw a huge number of cyclists out and about. We all know Brill has a strange attraction for cyclists but it still seemed to be more than usual. The short ride home after lunch was appreciated as we needed our lights on from about 3.30.
