Sunday ride to Waterperry and Islip
Sunday, 3 February 2013 - 9:30am
Ride or Event Navigation
Only 10k to go after lunch – so enjoy the carvery at the Red Lion in Islip
Ride report
The original idea was to include the climb from Oakley to Brill, but an early puncture meant we were running late and wouldn’t have reached lunch in time. Not everyone was disappointed to hear the change of plan and those who had done little riding since Christmas did not object.
As expected, the carvery at The Red Lion provided a hearty lunch for which the plates were only just large enough. Very pleasant to have such a short ride home after indulging our appetites so wantonly. Eleven for lunch, not quite a record and they just managed to squeeze us all in.
