Sunday ride to Waterperry and Long Crendon

Sunday, 23 August 2015 - 9:30am

We have bypassed Brill, but the climb up to Ashendon will make up for it.

Ride report

After our efforts in the Chilterns last week, there were no complaints on the climb to Ashendon. As we now know, when it comes to climbs, it all depends on how fast you take them. When you have a busy Sunday and are not sure you have time to continue on after coffee, the prospect of rain arriving later in the afternoon can be the deciding factor. Even so, eight riders rode on to lunch and didn’t get too wet. We were pleased to meet up with 3 of our regulars from the north, attracted by the beer at the Eight Bells in Long Crendon.
