Sunday ride to Waterperry and Long Crendon

Sunday, 8 October 2023 - 9:30am

Half-day ride: please email the coffee ride leader if you'd like to see the route back

A roundabout route to Waterperry for coffee, then on to reopened 8 Bells in Long Crendon before taking a southern route back to Oxford.

Ride report

It was the first chilly ride of the autumn, but the weather was nice and mostly sunny. After a roundabout route to coffee, we headed to Long Crendon via Chilton. Rather than wait at the junction at the top of the hill, we waited further on the bend, which gave us the opportunity to admire the view from the gateway into the school. Lunch at the newly re-opened 8 Bells was good. A route via Cuddesdon brought us back to Oxford.

The map is an embedded link from Ride with GPS. You can zoom in to see the route in as much detail as you like. For example, you can zoom in (using the + sign) to see exactly where the start is.
