Sunday ride to Waterperry and Towersey
Sunday, 7 September 2014 - 9:30am
Ride or Event Navigation
Ride report
The exciting moment of the day was a police escort clearing the way for what looked like (but of course wasn’t) a peloton of Tour of Britain riders. Anyone know who they were, around the Chalgrove area? Meanwhile, four of us decided to have our own race as we covered the 26km to Abingdon in just 53 minutes – a good average for mere tourist cyclists!
A special welcome on this ride to Graham Smith, our representative on CTC Council and tireless campaigner for improved cycling facilities.
