A flat ride out to Witney for takeaway coffee and slightly hillier ride back via Delly End – worth it for the name alone!
Ride report
Our half-day ride to Witney managed to include two to three seasons of weather in one day! Four of us set off on the third ride of the day from Broad Street under cold autumn-like conditions. The later start time meant a little busier on the road to Evesham but we soon turned off to back roads, coming into Witney along a lovely walking and cycling route and briefly bumped into the 10am group at coffee. As we enjoyed our hot drinks, the temperature dropped and there were short flurries of sleet. The ride back to Oxford was a delightful, sunny mixture of backroads, a beautiful bridleway, and the cycle path along the A40. Thanks to everyone who came along.
