Annies Tea Shop, Thrupp
Their website says: “ANNIE’S TEA ROOM is set in the picturesque, sleepy, canal side hamlet of Thrupp in Oxfordshire and was originally part of the old British Waterways Yard. Now beautifully renovated, the building and gardens offer an oasis of calm. Join us and while away an hour or two. When it’s cold and wet outside, come and sit by our cosy wood-burning stove and keep warm. We can tempt you to stay with ever-changing homemade Hot Specials, Soups and you can’t beat a good, old-fashioned bacon sandwich – thick white locally-made bread, lashings of sauce and delicious grilled bacon. Can’t you just smell it now?
Or, in the nice weather, sit and relax in our courtyard or under the trees in the gardens doing nothing more strenuous than enjoying our delicious homemade food – freshly prepared sandwiches, warm home baked scones with lashings of clotted cream and a tempting selection of our handmade cakes.
All of our products are made freshly from scratch and include no preservatives or additives. We know what goes into all of our food and we are proud to source as much as we can from local producers and suppliers.”
